We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for our Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, May 14, 2007. The sun was shining, the “birdies” were flying, and all of our guests enjoyed a fun-filled day at Oakland’s beautiful Sequoyah Country Club.
This year, as a new and special treat, Compadres Bar & Grill provided delicious quesadillas and margaritas at the 14th hole, which of course made it the most popular spot on the greens.
Players showed off their golfing prowess in the many contests offered along the course, and had the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes.
However, the 17th hole proved to be too great a challenge for even the most talented of our golfers, so no one drove away in the 2007 Lexus, provided by Coliseum Lexus of Oakland.
At this year’s tourney, we welcomed more golfers than ever before! We were glad to see so many familiar faces as well as new friends.
The tourney was a wonderful success thanks to the tireless efforts of all of our Events Committee members, especially Matt Haley and Wayne Ingbritson.
Special thanks to all our generous sponsors and supporters, and to everyone who came out to play for the children. Together, we are all helping to create a future full of opportunities for the children and families of Saint Vincent’s Day Home.
