Friends old and new came out to play at the Day Home’s Annual Golf Tournament held on Monday, May 12, 2008.  We were relieved that the weather stayed sunny for our day on the greens at Oakland’s beautiful Sequoyah Country Club. The 14th hole was once again a very popular destination, thanks to the tasty quesadillas and margaritas served up by Compadres Bar & Grill. The competition was stiff this year, with all of our winning foursomes scoring 60 or under.  

This year’s tourney has been our greatest success to date, and would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our amazing committee chairs, Matt Haley and Wayne Ingbritson. We truly appreciate the contributions of Ray Harris, and our celebrity golfers, Russell Baze and Kyle Kaenel. We are also grateful to our Events Committee members and our other fabulous volunteers, who were all willing to take on any task. 

Special thanks to all our generous sponsors and supporters, and to everyone who came out to play for the children. Together, we are building a future full of opportunities for the Day Home’s children and families.
