2015 Adopt-A-Family

Last year, families from Saint Vincent’s Day Home were able to overcome financial difficulties during the holiday season through the gifts of generous donors.

This year, we hope you will continue to help families in need during Christmastime so they can celebrate with their families. Saint Vincent’s Day Home invites generous organizations and individuals to “Adopt a Family” from the Day Home to ensure their Christmas becomes a little merrier.

This year we have over 211 families at the Day Home who will have a much happier holiday because of your generosity.

We ask that your gifts be labeled with the name for whom the gift is intended and then dropped off at Saint Vincent’s Day Home no later than Friday, December 18, 2015. The Day Home is open between 7am and 5:30pm to receive your gifts.

How You Can Participate:Adopt-a-Family-logo-300

Adopt a Family

When you sign up, we’ll provide the family member’s first names, ages and genders, a wishlist, plus a bit of information about their situation.

As a reminder, please do not include war toys or perishables. And, we recommend you include the gift receipt, in case an exchange needs to be made.

While the presents should not to be wrapped, it’s extra nice if you include wrapping paper, ribbon and boxes with your gifts so that parents have the opportunity to participate in their child’s Christmas celebration.

Not sure what to give? Our Family Learning Program encourages parents to share books with our children and teach them the value of reading, so picture books or gift certificates to a bookstore are always a wonderful choice.

Donate Gift Cards

Gift cards are very practical for our families, and are a good option if you don’t have much time to shop. Some suggestions for gift certificates are: Target, Toys R Us, Old Navy, Walmart, Safeway/Pak’n Save, or Lucky’s.
