Sunday, September 14 was a beautiful day – perfect weather for the Annual Brunch. Nearly 200 people stopped by to enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet, generously donated by Scott’s Seafood Restaurant in Jack London Square. Thanks to Ray Gallagher, Scott’s owner, and his competent team for preparing food that keeps our supporters coming back each year.
Members of the Events Committee worked hard and their efforts showed. Beautiful floral arrangements in simple mason jars served as table centerpieces. Day Home staff worked hard to dress the tables to Fall perfection. Staff members also did an outstanding job of creating clever bulletin boards reflecting our “Back to School” theme. Students of the Bishop O’Dowd music department kept our guests entertained with their Cool Jazz sounds.
We have many people to thank including our supporters, donors, Board, staff and new friends. This year’s brunch was dedicated to the memory of Sr. Anne Maureen, who we all miss greatly.
