A few weeks after Golden State Warrior, Klay Thompson scored a 60-point game, he made time in his busy practice schedule to brighten the holidays for a few special Oakland children.

Saint Vincent’s Day Home was his first stop, and he came bearing gifts for all 220 children. While some of our youngest children weren’t entirely sure who he was, the preschool and kindergarten classes were ecstatic to see him walk through the gate and squealed with delight before bursting into the classic “Warriors” chant.

We are grateful that Klay took time to chat with the children before helping them select the perfect present. He spent quite a while with our children before he sped away to visit seriously ill children at a local hospital.

Days later, the children were still talking about Klay’s visit. He really made quite an impact!

Check out the gallery below for a look into the children’s experience with their hero.
