Hello! My name is Carmen, and I work as the Family Services Director and Manager of the Food Program at Saint Vincent’s Day Home. I specialize in enrolling families in compliance with the California Department of Education and the Department of Social Services and serving nutritious meals to all children enrolled in the program. It’s important to me that every family and child has equal access to education.
I first became a part of Saint Vincent’s Day Home as a parent and was drawn to the excitement and diversity of the program. I truly enjoy meeting with families one-on-one, providing the resources they need, and participating in events.
Although I completed all of my education in El Salvador, I have been working in the Child Development Program since November 1st, 1988. Over the years, I have gained extensive knowledge and experience in supporting families from diverse ethnic backgrounds and have received certifications in various CDE and Food Programs.
