A Letter From The Executive Director

Dear Saint Vincent’s Day Home Family,

With sincere warmth, I extend my greetings to each and every one of you. As we welcome spring here in Oakland, the Day Home radiates with the blossoming beauty of the season. March unfolded with many wonderful, enriching activities, culminating in a significant milestone – the launch of our new website! We invite you to explore it at svdh.org.

Heartfelt appreciation goes out to all who graced our 2024 Children’s Choice Award Dinner with their presence. It was a delightful occasion marked by connection, a celebration of community, and unwavering support for the invaluable work we undertake each day. It was an honor to stand alongside individuals who have dedicated themselves to the betterment of our community. Chris Nguon, our esteemed honoree, embodies this commitment, having served West Oakland for over a decade. The event was further enriched by the presence of our longstanding teachers and staff, whose dedication serves as an inspiration, and our cherished Corinne, whose unwavering support uplifts us all.

It was indeed a night filled with magic and meaning, symbolizing the collective strength and unity that defines our Saint Vincent’s Day Home family.

Warm regards,

Alexandra Hilario
Executive Director
